In Urdu the translations of the Holy Book started in late 16th Century A.D. Qur’ānic translations are an important source of learning and understanding of Qur’ān. This research article gives a brief introduction and analysis of five Urdu translations of the Holy Qur’ān. In this article, we will discuss the tradition and importance of Urdu to Punjabi and Punjabi to Urdu translations. On the other hand, there is a strong tradition of Urdu translations of regional languages such as Sindhi, Seraiki, Pashto, Balouchi, Brahui and Punjabi literature, and a well-built tradition of translation from Urdu literature into these regional languages. This Tradition of translation is also found in the Urdu language, Urdu is also influenced by international and regional languages and it has also had its effects on these languages that are why there is a wide and coherent series of translations of international literature into Urdu and Urdu literature into foreign languages. Thus there was a need to translate this expression into another language which was called Translation.
